Healthy fried food? Yep- this is a nutrition trend!

The American diet incorporates lots of fried foods that are high in fat and cholesterol - looking at you, French fries and potato chips! The air fryer provides an alternative way to enjoy crispy, fried-style foods without the excess of calories and fat associated with traditional fried foods. Here are some FAQs on this trendy new kitchen tool!

How does it work?

The air fryer circulates hot air at a high speed, which allows food to cook and to become crispy with the appearance, texture, and taste of being fried. In order to have equal browning and crisp, turn the food with a spatula every 5-10 minutes until cooked. Make sure to spray the food with nonstick spray or pour in a tablespoon or less of oil to prevent sticking.

What can you make using an airfryer?

You have endless options! You can make french fries, dumplings, sweet potato fries, chicken wings, tempura style vegetables, turkey bacon, shrimp, and more!
